Our Areas of Practice

Whether your case involves a real estate transaction, a succession, an estate planning matter or a claim for personal injuries, we will work to close your transaction and resolve your claim.  Our area of practice is civil law, with a primary focus in:

REAL ESTATE
When buying real estate, you deserve an efficient closing and a merchantable title.  We have built our practice to meet your objectives. When talking to your lender or realtor for your purchase or refinance, ask for us as your real estate closing attorney.  Our team includes multiple title attorneys, abstractors, experienced closing paralegals, notaries and licensed title insurance agents.  Over the years, we have established relationships with both the local banks and national mortgage companies.
ESTATE PLANNING AND SUCCESSIONS
Preparing for death is an intimidating but necessary task.  Let us guide you in your estate planning decisions. To execute your plan, we can draft instruments, such as wills, trusts and powers of attorney. We also handle successions, which are often necessary to transfer property after death. Call us and make an appointment to discuss your questions about your succession or planning needs.
PERSONAL INJURY
An accident disrupts your life. While we cannot reverse the chain of events that led to your injury, we will strive to ensure that you are fairly compensated. We will assume the responsibility of advancing your claim by negotiating with your insurance adjuster and if necessary, filing suit and taking your case to trial. If you receive injuries from an accident, call us for a consultation.
SELECTIVE LITIGATION
In addition to handling accident litigation, we evaluate cases in other areas of the law. We have taken a wide variety of litigious matters through trial and appeal and have fought one case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. While our litigation practice is primarily state court-based, we are admitted before the federal Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana.
